This may sound goofy (and it does) but the idea is that Mephisto will arrive in Ironheart, and be an antagonist focused on magic versus technology, which Kevin Feige has said the series is about. He is as close as the MCU gets to the literal devil, and it’s possible that he’s bought the Tower in human form, as I don’t think you just sell to a guy with red skin and giant horns. While I am much more skeptical of the sourcing on this one, the idea here is that the mystery person that Tony Stark sold Avengers Tower to (as seen in Spider-Man: Homecoming) is none other than Mephisto.

Update (5/29): I figured I might as well tack on an additional MCU rumor here, which is not directly tied to the Fantastic Four, but may play into the group all the same, given that the Baxter Building is in the same place as Avengers Tower, which is what this has to do with. Naturally, it will not be what every fan wants to see (John Krasinski should return as Reed! Johnny should be the kid from Outer Banks!) but that’s always going to be the case with casting cases like this. But it’s a very believable cast and loads of different insiders have all claimed a similar line-up. And if he does in fact land Johnny Storm as well, he’ll be a household name soon enough.Īgain, this is all insider reports and none of this is confirmed, certainly not by Marvel.
